Investments of Chinese companies in Romania's economy amount to about 385 million dollars, Economy ministry data reveals in a release sent to HotNews.ro. Representatives of the institution show that in the last period, a series of Chinese companies, with an important financial and tehnical potential expressed their intention to initiate other projects in Romania.

Technical discussions that took place target possible projects in the energy, infrastructure and environment protection sectors. Even if Romanian authorities announced that there were official talks between Chinese and Romanian authorities where Romanian projects were presented, Romania was not included in the European tour conducted in the last months by Chinese leaders.

According to the National Statistics Institute, in the first eight months of the year, the total volume of commercial exchanges between Romania and China amounted to 1.83 billion euro, of which 203.71 million euro are exports.
