Romanian tennis player Sorana Cirstea left the Masters Miami tour quite early, after the second round. She was taken out of the competition by Venus Williams, score 6-4, 6-3. The American managed to impose her rhythm and Sorana missed an important opportunity in the first set, when she was leading 4-2.

Number 40 in the world chart, Sorana gave the impression that she could surprise. The Romanian tennis player led 4-2 in the first set. But Venus changed the result and win 6-4. The situation didn't improve much for Sorana in the second set either. Cirstea managed a break in the beginning of the set, but the favourite player won 6-3.

"I needed several games to get used to the rhythm. She [Sorana] played very aggressively and when her balls landed on the field, it was difficult to respond. Eventually, my game improved and I'm happy about it", Venus Williams said. Venus is three times Miami Master champion, with awards amounting to 4.5 million dollars.
