Anti-graft prosecutors submitted an official demand for the House of Deputies to approve the investigation against former Transports minister Miron Mitrea for taking bribe and forging official documents, a press release of the National Anti-corruption Department (DNA) shows. Social Democrat (PSD) campaign director Miron Mitrea is currently a member of the House.

Three days ago, anti-graft prosecutors requested the approval of the Senate to investigate Liberal Labor minister Paul Pacuraru for taking bribe. Labor Minister Pacuraru declared for a local television that he was confident that the inquiry of anti-graft prosecutors would prove his innocence.

At his turn, Miron Mitrea declared in the weekly BBC - HotNews.ro interview last weekend that he did not know that he has an open case at the DNA.
