The radio and TV stations are no longer allowed to broadcast electoral messages, poll results, opinion polls or comments on the electoral campaign. The electoral messages via mass media, concerning the local elections due on Sunday, were stopped starting at midnight, this night. Radio Romania Actualitati reminds that inviting candidates in TV or radio shows is forbidden as well, except for "right to reply" cases.
Romanians are called to elect their local administration representatives on Sunday. After several polls revealed that the presence may be lower than expected, president Basescu appealed to all citizens to "choose those who will manage 20 billion euro".
