The final official results for the Parliamentary elections, held November 30, were published by the Electoral Office (BEC): for the Chamber of Deputies, Democrat Liberals (PD-L) received 115 mandates, Social Democrats and their Conservative allies (PSD-PC) 114, Liberals (PNL) 65 and Hungarian Democrats (UDMR) 22 mandates. For the Senate, PD-L secured 51 mandates, PSD-PC 49 mandates, PNL 28 mandates and UDMR 9 mandates.
Romania's President Traian Basescu announced that he will hold a press conference, at 5 pm.
