Liberal Radu Stroe will represent Bucharest College 1 in the Deputies Chamber. According to the latest results issued by the Electoral Office after counting the 25 voting sections, Stroe received the mandate with 70.17% of the votes to his countercandidate, 23 old rich businessman Prigoana with 29.83%. The position remained vacant after Bogdan Olteanu left to occupy a position at the National Central Bank. Turnout was 27.11%.
Of the total number of confirmed cast votes, 5.988, Liberal Radu Stroe obtained 4.058 votes which represents 68.8% of the votes while Democrat Liberal Honorius Prigoana obtained 1.841 votes, representing 31.2%.
In a press conference, Radu Stroe took the opportunity to thank the citizens who voted for him and claimed that his victory is the victory of common sense. His counter-candidate Honorius Prigroana admitted his defeat and thanked his party for support.
