Gandul reads on Monday about the Democratic Liberal Party meeting this weekend, where PM Boc and PDL secretary announced their plans to run for president of the party and where President Basescu took the opportunity to endorse PM Boc. According to sources, Basescu reiterated his plans to have an independent Prime Minister with a political cabinet and said loud and clear that this matter is in his hands not the party’s.

The President told PDL members that they can express their opinion in the Parliament, according to the constitution. Apparently, the plan is to have PM Boc resign after the new motion of censure submitted by the opposition on the new labour code.

The Prime Minister will either submit his resignation shortly after the motion or next week while the President will have talks with leaders of the Democratic Liberal Party to ensure that he will not have any surprises at the swear in ceremony of the new PM.
