The White House has announced that US president George W. Bush will meet on the margins of the NATO summit in Bucharest this spring with Romanian President Traian Basescu and Prime Minister Calin Popescu Tariceanu, as well as the NATO secretary general. George and Laura Bush will visit Ukraine, Romania and Croatia in April.

Bush will be in Kiev on April 1 for talks with the president and the prime minister of Ukraine. He would then travel to Bucharest for the NATO Summit on April 2-4. They would also visit Croatia for talks with Croatian leaders and leaders of the countries that NATO allies will decide to invite to join NATO at the high-level reunion in Bucharest.
