Romania and Bulgaria will join the Schengen area in March 2011, according to a common statement signed in Mamaia, SE Romania on Sunday by the Romanian Interior minister Cristian David and his Bulgarian counterpart Rumen Petkov, a press release informs.
In a common press conference, the two announced that by the end of June this year they would issue a document sketching the strategy, stages and methods used to comply with this objective.
The two also talked about Black Sea cooperation during their weekend meeting.
