Representatives of the Romanian Party in Italy have officially met representatives of Silvio Berlusconi's party, Popolo della Liberta just eight days before the electoral campaign in Italy is due to finish.

The main objective of the talks were Romanian's integration in Italy and Italian's integration in Romania, a common press release of the two parties involved shows. Moreover, Berlusconi's party, PDL, is know to sustain Romanian immigrant's right to vote. For 2009 elections, some 1 million Romanian in Italy have the right to vote, the press release adds.

PDL representative, Sandro Bondi underlined that his party officials are willing to collaborate at the local level with Romanians' representatives. At its turn, Vice President of the Romanian Party in Italy argued that the party is willing to collaborate on the national level, as Romanians need to be represented in Italy.
