The Olympic Torch reached Paris on Monday but Associated Press and CNN say that organizers decided to extinguish the flame due to pro-Tibet protesters. France Presse however talks about a detour of the Torch's route but not of the fact that the Torch would be put out.
Just like in London, protesters in France tried everything they could think of to extinguish the Torch. Downtown Paris witnessed an incident between pro-Tibet protesters and a Chinese citizen with a China flag. Police officers intervened and some 4 protesters were arrested.
