A former German engineer of Eurocopter has admitted he spied for Russia, RBK Daily informs. Aged 44, the man, under the name Werner G admitted that he passed Russian special services technical data regarding the civil helicopters used by Eurocopter. A verdict in the case is expected next week.

According to prosecutors, the man send important information several times between 2004 and 2006 in Germany, Austria and Croatia for the Russian counter-espionage. For the information, the German received some 13,000 euro.

The defense argues that the data released by their client are not that important, RBK Daily informs.
