Russian PM Vladimir Putin has offered Venezuela President Hugo Chavez to strengthen nuclear cooperation between the two countries which are already intensifying their military ties, Romanian news agency NewsIn reports, quoting AFP.

Putin was quoted as saying the two countries were ready to examine the possibility to cooperate in the field of nuclear energy. He made the statement as his meeting with Chavez was about to begin at his residency in a Moscow suburb. He also said that all accords of cooperation between naval forces of the two countries will be applied.
