Romanian anti-graft chief prosecutor, Daniel Morar won the Inspiration of the year 2008 award, offered by the European Voice as part of the Europeans of the Year 2008 awards. The jury declared that Morar raised the anti-corruption fight to a new level, Romanian news television Realitatea TV informs.

The award comes after last year, former Justice Minister Monica Macovei was elected European Woman of 2008, by a jury made up of journalists and MEPs. Morar and Macovei were perceived constantly in Brussels as champions of the judicial reform in Romania.
