Italians will continue to accept among them the hard working Romanians who comply with the law but will take serious measures against those who do not, Italian Foreign Affairs minister Franco Frattini declared in Brussels on Monday, L'Unione Sarda reads.

Italy wants to clarify, once and for all, that Romanians are welcome to our country but we will take tough measures against those who fail to comply with the law, Frattini underlined. Frattini was due to meet his Romanian counterpart, Cristian Diaconescu, in Rome on Monday afternoon.
