Most people arrested in Chisinau were youngsters without previous records and Moldovan authorities used extreme violent measures against them, a UN Commission concluded, Moldovan daily Jurnal de Chisinau reads.
UN experts who investigated the treatment revealed that the people were beaten with bats and fits, without mercy. There are even cases of severely injured women, the report shows.
Plus, those arrested were not offered any judicial counseling. Moreover, they were forced to sign declarations and documents that they were not able to read beforehand. However, in Chisinau there was no reaction to the report so far.
