The European Commission approved the request of the European Parliament to publish a report regarding Romania's European fund management and use, the Commission's spokesperson Mark Gray declared for HotNews.ro. However, a date of publication was not yet decided but one thing is clear, that it will not coincide with the report on justice due this summer.

Recently, former Regional Development commissioner Danuta Hubner declared that Romania is an example of good management and does not see the relevance of such a report. Also, governmental sources declared for HotNews.ro that the Romanian government is currently setting up its own report on the management and use of EU funds.

According to European sources consulted by HotNews.ro, the Commission decided to postpone the justice reports on Romania and Bulgaria due to the legislative elections in Bulgaria set on July 5 so that the report will not influence the results.
