The Romanian team only won the first round of the match. But it was sufficient to gain them a first success in the World Cup. The score went 1-1, 2-2, 3-0 and 0-1.
Romania will play next on Wednesday against Italy, the host-country. On Friday, Romania will meat the US team in the last match of the group. The leaders of the four groups will be qualified in the quarter finals, while the second and the third place will play again in another trial for further qualifications.
