GEA declared that the report is based on statistical data for 2008 and on a manager's survey conducted in 2009. Nonetheless, Romania is ranked last in the EU in what concerns its infrastructure, health and basic education.
According to GEA, Romania's points this year do not differ too much from the previous year - 4.11 compared to 4.1. Even so, Romania managed to exceed countries like Greece, Portugal or Italy. One of the best score were received for the financial market complexity.
