Romania football player Adrian Mutu attacked TAS decision that bounds him to pay 17 million euros to Chelsea. He appealed to the Federal Swiss Tribunal, according to Violanews.com. "Mutu could postpone TAS' decision due to the procedure vices in the best case", the Italian press reads. The London football club sent a request to FIFA, asking for fining the Romanian player for not paying the 17 million euros debt at the decided date.

"The past cases did not change in any way the initial decision, but Mutu's situation is a more complex and difficult issue, to be re-evaluated, bearing in mind that this could be an unprecedented relationship between a club and a player", Gazzetta dello Sport informs.

An official position from the Federal Swiss Tribunal could come in October, and this could mean a new TAS procedure, which would mean a new trial or confirming the initial verdict. Chelsea requested from FIFA to punish MUTU with a significant fine, worth of several thousands euro, for not paying his initial fine in time.

Chelsea bought Mutu in 2003, paying 15.8 million pounds. The Londoners gave him up i October 2004, immediately after the Romanian was tested positive for cocaine. The British club representatives suffered 13 million pounds losses because of Mutu’s behaviour, Money which Mutu is bound to pay back to the Premier League club by a TAS decision.
