The Republic of Moldova allowed the opening of two Romanian consulates at Cahul and Balti, a press release of the Foreign Affairs ministry informs. The approval of Chisinau comes as the agreement between Romania and the Republic of Moldova on border traffic was finished.
Interim Foreign Affairs ministry Catalin Predoiu saluted the agreement on the border traffic, a step forward to normalize and consolidate bilateral relations between the two countries. According to the document Moldovans will be able to drive free 50km in Romania without a visa. They will need a special permit to cross the border.
Moldovan PM Vlad Filat declared for UNIMEDIA that they need to know whether the nominated PM Lucian Croitoru can sign the document.
