The ash cloud spawn by the Island volcano Eyjafjoll heads towards Eastern Europe, the British weather service has announced, quoted by RIA Novostey. But it would not reach Romanian skies during Friday, April 23.

The cloud may cover an important part of Poland, North-East Germany, South Sweden and would reach Ukraine and Belarus.

On Saturday, the cloud would maintain direction, covering all Lithuania and half of Belarus.

The Romanian Environment Ministry has announced that according to analysis the maximum acceptable levels of polluting components caused by the volcanic ash would not be exceeded in Romanian skies.
