A round of technical US-Romanian talks on Romania's inclusion in the Phased Adaptive Approach of the European missile defense system took place in Bucharest on Tuesday, a press release of the Romanian Foreign Ministry informs. It says that official negotiations on the issue would start soon.

The press release says the agenda of the Tuesday talks included an exchange of views on technical and judicial aspects of the missile defense sector.

On February 4 this year, Romania's Supreme Defense Council approved a yes answer to an invitation sent by US President Barack Obama for Romania to join the Phased Adaptive Approach of the European missile defense system.
