Republic of Moldova is about to receive a grant up to 90 million euro, a measure meant to counter the effects of the financial crisis according to the vote on Tuesday of the European Parliament, a press release informs.

The financial assitance will help Chisinau to consolidate the deficit of the balance of payments and will supplement the aid offered by the World Bank and the IMF. The money will be transferred in three or four instalments: two in 2010 and one or two in 2011.

European deputies insisted that the European Parliament should be informed by the European Commission of the management of the asistance offered to Moldova.
