The European Commission did not receive yet the French draft related to the implementation and adaptation of the freedom of movement principle and the calendar of impleentation, a Commission's spokesperson announced on Friday. October 15 is the deadline for France to send this draft otherwise, the Commission will launch the infringement procedure.

The Commission announced on September 29 that it will launch the infringement procedure against France for not implementing in the internal law of Directive 38/2004 regarding the freedom of movement principle in the EU. At the time, it urged France to present a draft law regarding the implementation of the directive and a calendar.

The Spokesperson declared that the Commission expects the documents by tonight when the deadline expires.
