A Romanian, who worked without legal papers on a construction site in Rome, was beaten by Italian owners because he asked for his salary. Italian authorities launched an investigation of the case, Romanian news agency Mediafax informs, quoting Italian daily Corriere della Sera.
When I asked for the money I earned, 240 euro, they beat me, the 30 year old Romania declared. The case was discovered during controls made by Italian authorities on construction sites where many immigrants work without legal papers.
