Adevarul Holding shuts down the print version of Blik daily in Ukraine, paginademedia.ro informs, reporting that Ukrainian journalists were announced by the decision in a meeting on Monday morning. Paginademedia.ro quotes Romanian businessman Dinu Patriciu saying that he decided to shut the print daily and orient on weekly prints because distribution is difficult.

Patriciu said Blik will have its online version. Paginademedia.ro writes that Blik appeared today for the last time. The other products built around the tabloid will continue to appear including Blik secret (paparazzi), Blik health, Blik for women and Blik bon appétit. According to information, the TV guide will also be kept and a new sports magazine will be launched. Blik, the Ukrainian newspaper was bought by Adevarul from the Swiss Ringier group in 2008 two years after the title was first launched.
