Corneliu Chisu, member of the Conservative Party in Canada was elected on Monday in Ottawa’s Parliament after a victory in the general elections against Liberal Dan McTeague, thestar reads. Chisu, aged 62 ran in the Pickering – Scarborough East constituency.

Chisu, an engineer is a former major in the Canadian air forces and declared that his victory is entirely based on his life experiences that he had and his hopes for a better Canada. Chisu was also an Honorific Consul of Republic of Moldova and a commercial analyst for the Italian Commercial Committee at Toronto.

He won against McTeague with more than 1000 votes, with 19,220 votes against 18,053. Chisu has been living for over 20 years in Canada.
