In an exclusive interview for Hotnews.ro, Liberal boar member and Defense Minister Teodor Melescanu claims that the accusations against Justice Minister seat candidate Norica Nicolai are thoroughly studied by the prime minister.

Juridical counselors and Liberal party members are involved in the investigation but, up to this moment, there are no impediments in keeping on supporting Nicolai for the position.

Invested on Tuesday as interim Justice Minister, Melescanu offers an interview in which he asserts the following:

- His nomination as interim Justice Minister was made without any consultation within the party;

- He was invested as a result of the existing blocking, not due to the opposition stated and written from the Romania president, Traian Basescu;

- Prime minister Calin Popescu Tariceanu studies the professional map of Norica Nicolai, in order to see how serious the accusations against her are indeed;

- The Constitutional Court currently investigates whether the aspects invoked by the presidency build on impediments in naming Nicolai or not;

- In case the Court decides that the aspects invoked are real, Liberals are prepares to make another suggestion for the Justice Minister seat.
