Romanian PM Viorica Dancila was received by Pope Francisc in Vatican on Friday. The Romanian officials delivered an invitation for him to visit the country. In an interview for news channel Antena 3, she later said that the Pope confirmed he would come to Romania early next year.

Viorica Dancila is paying a visit to Vatican on May 10-13. As was the case of her previous visit to Israel, the visit was announced very late and the detailed schedule was sent to the media shortly before her meeting with the Pope.
No information was available by Friday afternoon about what she would do during her visit on Saturday and Sunday.
