Temperatures in Gorj, South West Romania fell on Monday night as heavy snow installed in the region, local televisions announce. To improve traffic conditions police units patrolled on the national road and made sure that traffic will not be blocked. Several other regions were affected by serious wind storms.
Snow falls were also reported in the area of Brasov, central Romania.
The National Meteorology Association announces that the weather is passing through a cooling process but in most of the country, temperatures will be normal for this period, and maximum temperatures will fall by 10 degrees Celsius.
