Romanian President Basescu will meet Russian President Vladimir Putin at noon on Friday. The bilateral meeting will take place at the Parliament Palace where the NATO Summit is currently held, diplomatic sources declared for HotNews.ro.

According to HotNews.ro sources, the two will meet after the Russia NATO Council but details are still to be set. However, it is not sure whether they will hold a common press conference but a NATO official declared a couple of day ago that Russian President Vladimir Putin was due to hold a press conference after the one held by NATO Secretary General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer.

Putin and Basescu already met in a more casual ambiance last night at an official dinner with all European heads of state, together with NATO Secretary General, UN Secretary General and EC President.
