After meeting in Romania a group of women who were forced by the Communist regime to give birth to as many children as possible, Hillary Clinton became a supporter of women's right to abortion, CNN informs.

The statement of the First Lady was made during a debate on faith and religion in Pennsylvania, in which Hillary Clinton faced her main opponent, Barack Obama.

In the Communist Romania, many children were abandoned and left in orphanages, a fact that led to an AIDS epidemics, said Hillary at the Messiah College, near Harrisburg, adding that every person should be allowed to make her own decision in such important matters, therefore the abortion should remain safe and legal.

On his turn, Barack Obama said that he has not a clear answer for this problem, nor does he know whether the life begins or not at the moment of conception. Still, Obama expressed his faith into a more powerful existence.
