CFR Cluj won the match with Universitatea Cluj with 1-0 on Wednesday, thus securing Romania's championship title and entrance in the Champions League competition. Today football fans all over the country watched the two matches to decide the final victorious team: CFR Cluj - Universitatea Cluj and Steaua - Gloria Buzau.

Even if Steaua won 5-0 over Gloria Buzau, CFR Cluj's victory over Universitatea Cluj secured CFR's championship title, leaving Steaua second. Thus, the final results are as follows:

1. CFR Cluj 76 points

2. Steaua 75 points

3. Rapid 61 points

4. Dinamo 61 points

Steaua football club owner Gigi Becali declared that he was happy for CFR Cluj, even though his team was close to winning the title. He added in a surprisingly calm manner that what matters now is who won the title not who should have won it.

At his turn, CFR Cluj owner Arpad Paszkany declared that justice has been made since CFR Cluj played best this season. He added that CFR became a national brand and his team will not let down its supporters.

However, the decisive match did not passed without violence. Right before it, CFR fans gathered in downtown Cluj, Central Romania to leave together for the stadium. They clashed with police forces when they found out that they will be escorted to the stadium on secondary streets.
