Romanian national football team coach Victor Piturca announced on Wednesday the enlarged team, comprising 26 players, of which he will choose the 23 players to fight in this year's EURO 2008 competition. Among these, 12 are playing for foreign teams while 14 of them are in the country playing for League 1 football clubs.

The 12 Romanians playing abroad are: Cosmin Contra (Getafe CF), Gabriel Tamas (AJ Auxerre), Stefan Radu (SS Lazio), Razvan Rat (FC Sakhtior Donetsk), Florentin Petre (TSKA Sofia), Paul Codrea (AC Siena), Razvan Cocis (FC Lokomotiv Moscow), Cristian Chivu (Internazionale Milano FC), Adrian Mutu (Fiorentina), Ciprian Marica (VfB Stuttgart), Daniel Niculae (AJ Auxerre) and Marius Niculae (Inverness).

Another 14 players from Romania: Bogdan Lobont (FC Dinamo Bucharest), Danut Coman (FC Rapid Bucharest), Marius Popa (Politehnica Timisoara), Cristian Sapunaru (FC Rapid), Dorin Goian, Sorin Ghionea (ambii, FC Steaua), Cosmin Moti (FC Dinamo), Mirel Radoi, Ovidiu Petre, Nicolae Dica, Banel Nicolita (all FC Steaua), Adrian Cristea, Florin Bratu (both at FC Dinamo) and Ciprian Deac (CFR 1907 Cluj).
