The intense heat during the past few days will be followed by violent storms and floods. After the weather experts issued a yellow code alert for the entire country for strong winds, hydro specialists say that the acceptable limits of several rivers may be passed starting today and until Saturday. 31 counties were officially warned on possible floods.
The following rivers may have an overflow during the next few days: Viseu, Iza, Tur, Crasna, Barcau, Crisul Negru, Barzava, Moravita, Caras, Nera, Cerna, Suceava, Moldova, Jijia, Somes, Mures, Bega, Timis, Jiu, Ialomita, Trotus, Bistrita, Barlad, Siret, Crisul Repede, Crisul Alb, Olt, Oltet, Arges, Buzau and Prut.
It will also rain heavily in Bucharest, starting this evening, although some 29 degrees centigrade are expected.
