A new version of Romania's first car registration tax, the environmental tax for cars, will come into force on Tuesday, July 1. The tax calculator was already published on the official website of the Economy ministry.
Moreover, application norms describe in detail the way the first car registration tax will be returned for those who paid more or those who will withdraw their cars. The difference will be returned only at request after 45 days but only after the debts to the state of the solicitor will be compensated.
Individuals can also find a legal way to challenge the level of the new environment tax.
