Adevarul Holding signed a license contract with Forbes, allowing the Romanian publishing house to launch a Romanian edition of the prestigious magazine, starting in spring 2009. The Romanian edition will be printed twice a month, while the Adevarul Top 500 will become the Forbes 500. Adrian Halpert, editorial manager of Adevarul Holding, confirmed that the negotiations are over and a deal was signed.

A press release is expected on Thursday, for further information on the deal. Until then, the media column in Adevarul unveils a few certain facts:

- The editor in chef of the new magazine will be Adriana Halpert, the current editor in chief of Adevarul 500 Billionaires 2008;

- The negotiations for a Romanian edition of Forbes begun three years ago;

- The first step was the Adevarul Top 500, when the catalogue obtained approval to publish the ranking of the world's richest people. Until 2008, the Forbes ranking was published by Capital and included only the richest 300.
