Over 100 towns in Transylvania, Central Romania were left without electricity, a press release of the electricity provider informs on Monday. The most affected counties are Cluj, Salaj and Covasna. Other counties where problems are registered are Harghita, Mures and Sibiu. 18 electric lines and 281 transformation posts were damaged.

Heavy snow and storms in the area are seen as the main cause of the damage.

The company's press release reads that workers are doing all their best to restore the problem as soon as possible.
