The Romanian Parliament resumes debates on the 2009 state budget on Wednesday morning, including its amendments for the Regional Development ministry. On Tuesday, Parliamentarians adopted the new budgets for several institutions without any amendments.

According to the Prime Minister, quoted by the Romanian public radio, the budget aims at stabilizing the economy and maintain and create new jobs by assuring investments worth 10 billion euro. Former PM Calin Popescu Tariceanu criticized the budget and said that this would affect the population's well being.
