Danny Boyle's movie, Slumdog Millionaire received several Oscars for: the best movie, the best director, the best adapted screenplay, the best image, the best soundtrack, the best original song, the best sound and the best screenplay.
The Curious case of Benjamin Button, the other favorite at this year's Oscar edition is left with small prizes - for make up, special effects and costumes. However, the grand surprises of this year's edition are Sean Penn's Oscar for the best actor, and the Oscar for the best Foreign Movie awarded to the Japonese Okuribitu/Departures movie.
