Transports minister Radu Berceanu will meet on Monday CFR representatives after the ministry announced, last week, its plans to lay off 12,139 people from the railway system. The ministry forwarded, on Friday, a restructuring program of the railway system.
The Federation declared that it will oppose these plans and will use every legal means to maintain all jobs. The program registers the lay off of 5,949 employees of CFR Marfa, 2,545 of CFR Calatori and 3,536 of CFR S.A.
Transports ministry officials, contacted by HotNews.ro could not offer any details regarding their program.
