Romania's national team coach, Victor Piturca declared that he will not leave the team for now, despite the weak performances of the team and the defeat. He declared that Romania just lost the game, nothing special happened. He added that he warned about this in the 2008 EURO Championship and that a more thorough analysis will be made soon.
After the game with Austria, Romania is last in its group, outclassing only Faeroe Islands. The group is dominated by Serbia with 12 points, France with 10 and Lithuania with 9.
