The Czech Republic announced its first case of swine flu. The tests showed a man recently returned from the United States of America was infected with the A(H1N1) virus, according to the Czech minister of Health, AFP reads.

"Unfortunately, we had no option but to call our first case of swine flu. It was found in a man who recently returned from New York", minister of Health Michael Vit declared. "The patient is currently isolated in his home. He does not show negative symptoms and his health has improved", he added.

Monday’s statistics show that the A(H1N1) virus provoking the swine flu has contaminated 12.515 individuals so far, in 46 countries, leading to 91 deaths.
