Democrat Liberals will vote for the penal investigation against ex Sports and Youth minister Monica Iacob Ridzi, PM Emil Boc announced on Monday. He declared that he upholds the rule of law and all politicians should obey the law.
Moreover, Boc declared that the governing partners, the Social Democrats are begining to distance themselves from the partnership with Romania, agreed when the two parties formed the coalition. Social Democratic priorities are less related to the needs of the country and more related to the presidential campaign looming in the future.
Boc urged the Social Democrats to uphold the partnership and its main priorities, namely the management of the economic crisis and structural reforms needed in Romania. He added that a decision regarding the 20% salary decrease of ministers was taken mainly to show that the political class expresses its solidarity with the citizens.
