Sanitas leader Marius Petcu announced on Monday that the doctors will take part in the protests in front of the Parliament and will be on general strike on October 5. Petcu mentioned that the emergencies will be handled by those who are not Sanitas members. "Should the Government not give up taking responsibility for the unique income scheme, than we'll carry on the striking... After tomorrow's rally, we'll meet to asses what we managed to get", Petcu said.

The unions representing state employees from various departments will rally in front of the Parliament in Bucharest on September 15 and will go on a one-day general strike on October 5. They will refuse to get involve in organising the presidential elections because of the final draft of the unique income scheme.

Several state staff confederations signed an alliance on September 10. They will ask the Government to not take responsibility in front of the Parliament for the current unique income scheme project and to renegotiate a normative act so that all state employees could enjoy decent income rights.

The Alliance is made up of "Alma Mater" Federation, "Spiru Haret", The Federation of the Free Education Unions, Sanitas, the National Finance Federation, The National Local Administration Unions Federation, The National Unions Federation for Work and Social Solidarity, the National Statistics Federation, The Federation of Public Administration Unions "Publisind", The Federation of National Prisons Administration Unions, The National Union for Police and Hired Personnel.
