"Mihai Viteazu" College from Slobozia, Ialomita county (South-East) recorded its second swine flu infection: a classmate of the girl tested positive last week. Her contamination was confirmed after the release of the lab results from "Cantacuzino" National Institute.

The 16-year old is hospitalised with "Matei Bals" Institute in Bucharest and is on an antiviral treatment. According to the epidemiologic investigation, the young girl made contact with only one person, who currently shows no sign of infection. Both girls are doing fine.

Health authorities decided to suspend classes and to isolate their group of colleagues for two more days. The courses the class attended have been suspended for a week starting last Thursday.

According to the report, in the week of September 14 - 20, there have been seven new swine flu cases recorded on a national level, the total number of patients infected with AH1N1 in Romania reaching 333. Three of the seven new cases were recorded in Ialomita and four in Iasi (North-East).
