11 American companies with expertise in the nuclear energy industry are visiting on Tuesday Romania's Cernavoda nuclear plant. The delegation, coordinated and lead by the US Embassy Commercial Department arrived in Romania to analyze the opportunities to construct Cernavoda's 3 and 4 reactors and the construction of a new nuclear plant, a press release of the US Embassy informs.

The 11 companies present a whole series of services and technologies like software projections, project management, analytical equipments, new nuclear technologies and waste management. The nuclear energy attracts more and more interest, as states are trying to organize their energy supply to improve energy security and offer an alternative, US Ambassador to Bucharest, Mark Gitenstein said.

The Westinghouse group is convinced that Romania's nuclear industry offers considerable opportunities for companies like ours, WEC Europe general manage Michael Pelle said. Among the American companies attending the program are AMEC, Autodesk, Babcock& Wilcox.
