Liberal leader Crin Antonescu submitted on Friday morning, at the Central Electoral office his official candidacy for Presidential elections and promised to offer a common sensed Romania, with respect to the citizen, a country that will earn the respect deserved at the international level.

Antonescu added that he will stand as President and consider a united Romanian country, with a wish of normality, common sense. He added that he gathered over 1.6 million signatures to sustain his candidacy.

The Liberal candidate expressed his hope for a decent electoral campaign based on a confrontation of ideas and not on the conflict that hurt the country so much. Antonescu is the first candidate standing for Presidency to submit his file. The deadline is October 23.
