Social Democrat Senator Catalin Voicu is under the attention of anti graft prosecutors. For now, the real reason is unknown, but sources quoted by the Romanian news agency NewsIn said that Voicu is presumed to have revealed classified information.
Voicu declared for NewsIn that he has no idea why he was called by prosecutors and that he did not give any declarations, as he is waiting for his lawyer. I was taken aback by prosecutors, as they arrested me as I was driving out from my hours, Voicu said.
Social Democratic Senator Viorel Hrebenciuc declared that as far as he knows, prosecutors could have committed an abuse, given that Voicu is a Senator. Voicu is known for having a close relation with PSD Bucharest organization, Marian Vanghelie.
